Summer of the Khyber

Last summer we came together to save our beloved Khyber Building.

The campaign brought together musicians, visual artists, theatre people, members of the queer community and Haligonians who are passionate about heritage and reviving our downtown core.

It was magical.

Right now, a group comprised of all of the above are working on a plan for a viable (and yes, still weird) arts and community hub located at 1588 Barrington Street. We will present this plan to Halifax Regional Council in October of 2015.

Join us this year for the Summer of the Khyber! (#sotk2015)

In preparation for this next council vote Friends of the Khyber has officially declared the summer of 2015 to be “The Summer of the Khyber” #sotk2015
